  • Consulting with other biology professionals.

In the field:

  • Deploying equipment from onboard oceanographic research vessels.

  • Servicing and testing equipment.

  • Conducting field experimental equipment such as cages and flowmetres.

In the lab:

  • Identifying, classifying and preserving marine organsims.

  • Conducting analytical research and laboratory experiments.

  • Processing samples
